MASSIVE WINS FOR MATT RYDER & DAVE BERRY
HARLESCOTT ‘A’ 4 v MEOLE ‘A’ 1
This was a match of the big boys, ending with the usual home win for last year champions with 3 winning frames. Their best Sean Nolan 80-18 with breaks of 24 & 19. Then Ade Rowe 76-26 breaks of 21 & 28. The other winner was Callum Wraight 75-45 with a 30 Break. But the performance of the night came from Meole’s Matt Ryder 114-15 with breaks of 24 20 against Mike Beer.

UNISON ‘A’ 5 v OLD SHREWSBURY ‘A’ 0
A massive home win for the Leaders. Colin Beaman was best again 81-10 break 20. Then John Barton 79-29 & Mike Barnsley 67-44 break 28. In the other frame Tony Benett looked in full control with excellent safety play until two reds from home Mark Blomfield pulled it out of the fire with excellent potting to win on the pink 57-49.

MEOLE ‘F’ 4 v WEM USC ‘A’ 2
Wem had a strong start in this match as Sam Breakes won 85-33. Then Gavin Tommy made it two by just beating Tony Downes 44-39. Now two down Andy Bowers just pulled a frame back 53-45. On Last Dave Berry turned this match round by beating Martyn Bebb 103-18 with a bonus break of 68 & a break of 20.

UNISON ‘B’ 1 v UNISON ‘F’ 4
Gaz Hughes was the ‘F’ men’s best winner 81-31 break 34 against Steve Shingler. Then came Danny Sumner 51-35 & Haydn Cross 50-35. Clive Phillips was the only ‘B’ team winner 54-33.

BEACONSFIELD ‘A’ 5 v BAGLEY ‘C 0
Bagley had little chance against the high flying Beacon Lads. Only Gary Prosser had a chance against Ceri Richards but still lost 58-48. Steve Adams put in the best performance 98-16, then Dave Davies 69-32 & Jason Bright 72-42.

BAGLEY ‘A’ 1 v BEACONSFIELD ‘B’ 4
A second big result in a row for Beacon. Phil Ryan led the way 82-20. Then Alan Ball pulled a frame back for Bagley 55-36. The other two big winners for the visitors was Rob Jones 73-35 & Chris Harrison 64-23.

HARLESCOTT ‘F’ 0 v BEACONSFIELD ‘C’ 5
The ‘F’ men are well beaten at home after wins from Martin Lewis 67-23. Jon Hedger 68-28. Mike Ryder 58-23 & Steve Farmer 52-38.

The League Leaders keep marching on after taking the first 3 frames. Ian Evans was best 72-22. Then next best was Mark Mason 62-34 & Dave Ferriday 72-50. For Meole Geoff Balshaw had a 22 clearance to win 50-41

The ‘D’ men have only one winner and that was Tony Antrobus 55-41. The winner’s for Wem was Josh Whittle 68-37. Pete Day 48-27 & Duncan Hill 67-30.

PRESTON BROCKHURST ‘A’ 1 v HARLESCOTT ‘D’ 4
A poor performance from Brock, Arn Mulligam trailing by 23, banged in a 19 break which got him back in the frame only for his tip to drop off, he had to borrow a cue which was not ideal, he went on to the frame to Alan Childs 52-64. Ady Trowsdale had a scrappy game against Linsey he was 22 in front but left Linsey up on brown which she potted & Blue & Pink, now a black ball game which Andy got to win 52-39. Glyn Buckley Terrible Shane Powell just kept Scoring for a deserved 75-35 win. Pip Higgins struggled as well, this going to a black ball, Pip took on a double which rolled round the pocket and came out very unlucky to go down 41-37 to Russ Worrall.

WEM USC ‘B’ 1 v MEOLE ‘G’ 4
Simon Perry was the only home winner 46-23. Martin Reader put in the best performance 88-36. The other two were tight Kevin Price 53-47 & Andy Wiggington 52-46.
