BRIGHT MOTORS DIVISION ONE

ROWE ON FIRE

The Division One title race has been blown wide open with the 6-0 win by Harlescott ‘A’ over Old Shrewsbury ‘A’ Sean Nolan sets the Balls running well with a 72-49 win, then we welcome back Steve Maddocks still potting well in a 93-29 win, on 3rd Adrian Rowe was on fire with an 83-30 win plus an excellent Bonus Break

The Leaders Beaconsfield ‘A’ lost at home 2-3 to 2nd placed Meole ‘A’ for the hosts Steve Adams won 78-44 Break 24 Mike Beasley had a 23 break & Jason Bright who had a 20 break in winning 59-35, for Meole Matt Ryder 68-54 Dave Davies had a 24 break & Tom Hancher 75-15 being the first player to beat Simon Mcloed this season.

Steve Shingler played brilliantly for Unison ‘B’ in the opening frame in their home fixture against Wem U.S.C. ‘A’ in his 85-17 win picking up two points for his team being the only winner in a 2-3  defeat. Wem took the next 3 frames, Gavin Tommy 80-40, Jason Lockett 60-58 & Ian Tinsley 58-37 with an excellent 32 break.

Bagley ‘C’ went to inform Unison ‘A’ and just lost 2-3 after Gary Prosser won 54-36 & Paul Morgan 61-52 with a 27 clearance. For Unison Mike Barnsley 108-26 & John Barton 57-16 break 22.

Meole ‘F’ are fighting to stay with the top 4 with a very good 5-0 win at  home to Beaconsfield ‘B’ Andy Bowers played first and just won 53-50 with an 18 clearance, Brendon Coote was tighter 46-45 break 25, on 3rd Andy Sparkes was the best winner 89-24 with an excellent break of 40, at the back Dave Berry 54-11 break 23.

Bagley ‘A’ went down 0-5 to Unison ‘F’ Mal Edwards 61-46. Dave Thomas 68-16, Haydn Cross 56-33 & Danny Sumner 73-14.

A.B.F. CARPETS DIVISION TWO

SKIPPER CHILDS LEADS WAY FOR HARLESCOTT

In this local Derby Harlescott ‘F’ fell apart against the inform Harlescot ‘D’ led by captain Alan Childs who won well 76-21, then Shane Powell 64-36. The 3rd was tighter Russ Worrall 56-46 and at the back Steve Jones 37-16 for a full house 5-0.

Meole ‘E’ crashed at home to Beaconsfield ‘C’ 4-1 Pete Connor was Meole’s only winner 78-27, with Martin Lewis 62-50, Mike Ryder 49-23 & Jon Hedger 87-37 victors for the visitors.

Beaconsfield ‘D’ are fighting to move up the League they won 5-0 at home against Meole ‘G’ Tony Antrobus 67-36, Pete Archer 59-36, Jim Wood 72-52 & Jim Green just making it 49-48.

Wem ‘B’ only share the frames against Unison ‘E’ after wins from Alan Smith 59-41 & Pete Maddon 62-46, for Unison who won 3-2 after good wins from Mike Hughes 62-35 & Alex Nuthall 52-25.

Leaders Harlescott ‘B’ travelled to Preston Brockhust ‘A’ and only came away with 3 points after wins from Ian Evans 65-43 & Mark Mason 68-46,  for the Brock Pip Higgins 66-37 & Adrian Trowsdale 58-47.
