Week 16 Report (13-02-19)



We start off with the R.H.A. Travel Individual Quarter-Final Results, Callum Wraight wins 3-0 over Mike Barnsley. Jason Bright went down 1-3 to Matt Ryder, John Barton got the better of Gavin Tommy 3-1, and Dave Berry beat Jason Lockett 3-1. Draw will be made at the Unison Club on Monday 4th March.

Gavin Tommy picks up two points for Wem USC against the League Leaders with a 85-15 win break 25, Beaconsfield ‘A’ take the next 3 frames to win 3-2, Simon McCleod 57-46, Dave Davies 59-48 & Jason Bright 64-51.

Bagley ‘A’ win 3-2 against Old Shrewsbury Alan Ball back on form winning 70-22 & Colin Vaughan 68-41 pick up good wins, for the Shrews Tony Bennett winning very tight frame 43-42 & Tony Preece 56-49.

Unison ‘F’ found it hard against 3rd placed Meole ‘A’ with only 3 players and going down 5-0. Meole winners Ross Corfield 57-32, Matt Ryder 61-51, Mike Beasley 45-40 & Tom Hancher had the walk-over.

Unison ‘A’ have a good 4-1 win at Meole ‘F’ after Dave Berry had put Meole 1 up after a 57-32 win, for Unison Mike Barnsley 60-50, Colin Beaman 62-47 & John Barton 53-24.

Beaconsfield ‘B’ are beaten at home by Harlescott 4-1 only Chris Harrison won 47-41 with the help of a 24 break. For the visitors Callum Wraight 86-39 break 41, Sean Nolan 58-32 & Ade Rowe 81-33.

After last weeks big win Unison ‘B’ have come back to earth after going down 4-1 to Bagley ‘C’ Clive Phillips being the only winner 46-40, for Bagley Jim  Davidson 69-44, Ross O’Callaghan 56-34 & Mike Jones 62-34.



Harlescot ‘F’ win at last against Unison ‘E’ 3-2, after Will Nankivell picked up two points for his team winning 70-18, for the hosts Bill Duckett 61-59, Billy Lanham 63-40 & Terry Burgess 49-34.

Preston Brockhurst go down 4-1 to Wem ‘C’ after wins from Pete Day 44-25 Duncan Hill the star of the show 86-35 break 22 & Greg Edwards 66-57 after Pip Higgins had a 24 break, for Brock Adrian Trowsdale won 55-51 break 22.

The League Leaders take 4 off Beaconsfield ‘D’ Ian Evans 57-38, Mark Mason 72-36 two breaks of 20 & 22, Ian Ferriday 58-38, for the ‘D’ men Pete Archer 45-43.

Harlescott ‘D’ With a big 5-0 win against Meole ‘G’ Shane Powell 64-39 break 27, Steven Jones with the top performance 84-22, Alan Childs 62-34 & Russ Worrall 76-27.

Beaconsfield ‘C’ with a full house over Wem USC ‘B’ Martin Lewis 45-35, Felix Preedy 63-26, Jon Hedger 68-30 & Mike Ryder 61-38.
