CHAMPS TAKEN APART AT UNISON ‘B’
Champions Harlescott ‘A’ were taken apart at Unison ‘B’ 4-1. Only Callum Wraight could win 75-30. Unison toke the other 3 frames, Steve Shingler won a tight frame 39-31, Neil Chislett with an excellent 66-26 win & Clive Phillips was star of the show 82-37.
Unison ‘F’ at home went one better beating Bagley ‘C’ 5-0 Mal Edwards had an excellent win 89-30 with 2 breaks of 22, but the best performance came from Danny Sumner 121-7, the other two winners were Dave Thomas 65-35 with the help of a good 30 break & Haydn Cross 70-40.
Unison ‘A’ kept up with The Jones’s with a full house at Bagley ‘A’ to move into 3rd Place, Mike Barnsley & Alan Ball were good at going in-off missing the balls and getting snooker’s so was Martin Young and John Teckoe, Mike won in the end 84-72 so did yours truly 83-33, John Barton was in outstanding form with a 93-18 win, the other big winner was Colin Beaman 85-32 with excellent potting.
Wem USC ‘A’ had their expected victory when they entertained Old Shrewsbury Jason Lockett went on first and won 60-41, Sam Breakes 61-54 & Iain Tinsley 72-29 then kept up the good work, Martin Bebb 82-32 then duly completed the whitewash.
There was no surprises when Beaconsfield ‘A’ Visited Meole ‘F’ and came away 4-1 winners Dave Berry was the home side’s only winner and that was big 109-10, for Beaconsfield Jason Bright 101-20, Steve Adams 95-37 with excellent breaks of 40 & a 27 clearance. The last winner was Simon McCleod 59-47.
Meole ‘A’ had their expected victory when visiting Beaconsfield ‘B’ Tom Hancher 84-41 break 25, Matt Ryder 80-34 with breaks of 33 & 22 clearance, Mike Beasley 68-50 playing Andy Baron who had a 29 break & still lost. At the back Chris Harrison won for the Hosts 81-18 with a 25 clearance.

LEADERS DEFEATED
The Unison ‘E’ Lads were not very kind to Harlescott ‘B’ the League Leaders. Ian Evans got the perfect start for the leaders winning 65-35. Then the hosts took the next two frames Alan Thomas best at 81-24 then Martin Cane 53-37, Ian Ferriday won the last 58-42 missing the aggregate by 27 points.
Wem USC ‘C’ kept up their challenge in this Division but dropped two points when at Harlescott ‘D’ after going two up with an excellent performance from Creg Edwards 87-7 break 28. Then Josh Whittall 64-58. For Harlescott Alan Child was best 73-26 & Shane Powell 53-31.
Beaconsfield ‘C’ kept clear of 4th placed team by winning 4-1 against Meole ‘G’ Pete Price proved Meole’s only winner 36-31. Martin Lewis won 64-42, Jon Hedger best at 62-33 break 22 & Mike Ryder 57-33.
Meole ‘E’ had a close call against Beaconsfield ‘D’ but they did eventually win 3-2, Martin Blizard took the first 62-33 then the visitors won the next two Jim Wood best 71-30 & Graham Archer 55-45. Back came Meole with Pete Connor 51-19 To take the aggregate point.
Preston Brockhurst only just beat Wem USC ‘B’ 3-2 with wins from Glyn Buckley 65-50 & Pip Higgins best at 69-16, for Wem Ian Bailey 72-38 & Simon Perry 64-44.
