BACONSFIELD ‘A’ 3 v MEOLE ‘A’ 2 Its two of the big boys. The champions were pushed to the wire, after going two in front when Jason Bright beat Mike Beasley 79-41 & Simon McLoed had a big win against Ross Corfield 65-27. Then the big fight back Tom Hancher was in outstanding form when beating the unbeaten Steve Adams 81-24. The last ended close after Dave Davies was leading 50-21, Matt Ryder came to the table and took an excellent 33 clearance to pinch the last frame 54-50. ================================================ MEOLE ‘F’ 3 v BEACONSFIELD ‘B’ 2 A good aggregate victory for the Meole Lads, After goiing two down, when Chris Harrison took the first off Steve Bebb 59-42, Then Steve Richards had a good win over Andy Sparkes 67-37, In the 3rd Dave Berry was buzzing with breaks of 30-31 & a 22 clearence to outplay Geoff Evans 100-4, Then Tony Downes outplayed Andy Baron for an excellent 66-10 win. ================================================ UNISON ‘F’ 4 v HARLESCOTT ‘B’ 1 Its sad when teams only have 3 players after going 3 up with wins from, Gaz Hughes 46-36 playing Ian Evans, Mal Edwards winning 48-33 over Ian Ferriday & Dave Thomas beating Dave Ferriday 67-47, Mark Mason then had a walk-over.

HUGHES VICTORY AT WEM TIPS THE BALANCE
WEM USC ‘B’ 2 v UNISON ‘E’ 3 Games were shared but Mike Hughes first frame big win tiped the balance, Mike defeated Simon Perry 97-17, Then Martin Cane made it 2-0 by beating Alan Smith 72-34, Wem came back well to take the next 2, Mark Perry 56-32 playing Alex Nuthall & Pete Maddon got the better of Rob Webster 69-33. ========================================================= BAGLEY ‘A’ 1 v PRESTON BROCKHURST ‘A’ 4 The Brocks title charge stayed on track with this big win, after going one down when Alan Ball beat Pip Higgins 74-38, The Brock then took over, Glyn Buckley 50-22 against Martin Young, Arn Mulligan took the 3rd well 71-33 playing Colin Vaughan, Bagley were missing a last player again so Adrian Towsdale had a walk-over. ========================================================== MEOLE ‘G’ 4 v BEACONSFIELD ‘D’ 1 The ‘G’ Slingers take a 3-0 lead starting with Brian Price 65-22 win over Jim Wood, then Andy Wigginton beat Tony Antrobus 56-21 & in the 3rd Pete Price just beat Graham A rcher 51-43, The visitors did take the last Jim Green just beat Kevin Price 57-48. =========================================================== HARLESCOTT ‘D’ 2 v HARLESCOTT ‘E’ 3 A very tight match in this Harlescott match, Brian Duckett started off well for the ‘E’ men beating Russ Worrall 54-17. Then the ‘D’ men just took the 2nd Steve Stubbs winning 40-39 against Alex Darby, The 3rd went to Alan Childs 59-22 playing Trevor Beamond & on last Steve Weaver just won for the ‘E’ 57-45 after Steve Jones had a 28 break. =========================================================== BEACONSFIELD ‘C’ 4 v MEOLE ‘E’ 1 Beaconsfield stay top after this good result, Steve Farmer lost the first frame 51-41 to Pete Connor, then Martin Lewis got the better of Martin Blizard 43-36, Jon Hedger beat Tim Corfield 60-44 & Mike Ryder put in the best performance by defeating Andrew Corfield 87-11 break 20. ============================================================ OLD SHREWSBURY ‘A’ 1 v HARLESCOTT ‘C’ 4 The Shrews only have 3 players again, Tony Bennett lost out to a good performance from Dan Manning 73-17. Craig Weaver was then the only Shrews winner 64-31 playing R.Price. John Rigby then had a walk-over, And at the back Andy Simpson beat Tony Preece 58-44.
