DIVISION ONE
Beaconsfield C 2, Beaconsfield A 2
The high-flying A team were held to a draw by a determined C team. Mike Barnsley continued his rich vein of form taking the opener 84-43 against Martin Lewis. Ashley Lewis replied by beating Tony Watkins 58-16. The third went to John Banks with a 62-21 victory over Steve Farmer, before Jon Hedger levelled again by defeating Dave Davies 67-34.
Beaconsfield B 1, Harlescott A 3
Rob Jones led throughout the first until Ade Rowe battled back, taking it on the black with a great 22 clearance 54-46. Callum Wraight took the next 46-26 playing Simon Richards. Andy Baron began the third strongly with a break of 23, but it was Craig Crossley with a 20 of his own who went on to win 61-37. The last was very fluent and attacking, Billy Lanham knocking in a quick 31 before Mike Beasley responded with a 30 on his way to winning 65-41 to earn the hosts a point.
Meole Brace F 0, Meole Brace A 4
Tom Hancher took control of the first with a 22 to defeat Dave Berry 66-27. Ross Turner came out on top in the second 62-32 against Steve Switonski. Ross Corfield compiled a 34 during his 73-7 success against Andy Bowers, before Kelvin Li received a 42-0 walkover.
Preston Brockhurst A 2, Meole Brace C 2
Games shared at the Brock with Pip Higgins losing out to Colin Beaman 47-15 before Glyn Buckley equalised on the black against newcomer Cameron Wildblood 49-39. Danny Sumner put the visitors ahead again by beating Adrian Trowsdale 48-32. In the last Arnie Mulligan got the snooker he needed on the pink to snatch the frame from Ross O’Callaghan 55-53.
DIVISION TWO
Unison F 3, Meole B 1
An excellent performance from the Unison lads to inflict Meole’s first loss of the campaign. Matty Edwards was solid all round to beat Isaac Faulkner 66-17. Andy Plant made it 2-0 when he defeated Malcolm Coote 73-49. Meole captain Adam Law took a very high scoring third 68-55, then Mal Edwards sealed the win 77-19 aided by his 25 break against Nigel Sampson.
Harlescott B 2, Condover A 2
These two sides remain inseparable in the table after this draw. Charlie Hughes claimed a close first 58-46 from Ian Evans, an even closer second went to Alex Evans 49-39 playing Syd Longland. Dougie Williams put Condover back in front beating the experienced Dave Ferriday 62-14. At the back Mark Mason potted well to win 63-27 against Paul Rumbold.
Meole Brace H 4, Meole Brace D 0
Unfortunately the H team received a walkover after the D team didn’t arrive.
