The hosts took control of this clash despite losing a close first when Alex Evans got a good victory over Glen Barclay 47-36. Pete Madden then put Wem in command, with a 27 break and an 88-3 win over Harry Ryder. Greg Edwards made a 31 during his 72-28 success against Dave Ferriday. This left Mark Mason needing to beat Will Skerratt by 94 points, a huge task but Will took the frame 49-34.

Andy Baron won the first for the visitors, beating Kev Ebrey 57-34. Martin Cane dominated the next to outscore Simon Richards 76-29. In the third yours truly cued better to overcome Mike Hughes 90-20, which meant Meole led by 9 going into the last. Mike Beasley forged 40 odd ahead, but Alan Thomas never gives up and fought back well to take the match to the colours. Eventually Mike got a treacherous brown to seal victory for Beaconsfield and take the frame 62-39.
