The ‘D’ men were looking good after the first two frames with Jim Wood winning the first 43-32. Then Mike Feltham only lost by 8 points to Ceri Richards 50-58. In the 3rd Steve Adams got a 40 break to defeat Graham Archer 70-43. Still the ‘D’ men 66 points up. In the last the Individual Champion was in top form with breaks of 54 & a 27 clearance he turned this match round to win 109-7.

UNISON ‘B’ (+70) 407 v HARLESCOTT ‘F’ (+125) 222
This was a bit one sided after Steve Shingler had won 108-16 with a 25 clearance. Then Neil Chislett 60-43 and Andrew Cashion 66-11. With Clive Phillips winning big at the back 103-27.

HARLESCOTT ‘A’ (Scr) 317 v OLD SHREWSBURY ‘A’ (+75) 209
Comfortable win for Harlescott with Sean Nolan 93-35 break 30. Then Chris Jones had a good win 82-31 with breaks of 21 & 37. Ade Rowe kept the big score’s 83-16. On last Callum Wraight was pushed only just winning 59-52 from Tony Preece.

BAGLEY ‘A’ (+80) 213 v MEOLE ‘E’ (+120) 419
Bagley started well with two wins, Martin Young 50-47 & Andy Norman 55-48. Then it fell apart Martin Blizard took the 3rd for Meole 57-28 and poor Bagley had no last player.

MEOLE ‘F’ (+35) 334 v UNISON ‘A’ (+30) 187
Meole took this match over with 3 big wins. Dave Berry set it a light being in full control to win 94-26. The 2nd went the same way with Andy Sparkes potting well for a 87-26 win On 3rd Chris Smith put it beyond John Barton’s reach winning 64-32. John Barton did take the last 73-54, but it was far to late.

UNISON ‘F’ (+40) 244 v PRESTON BROCKHURST ‘A’ (65) 190
This was a good win by the ‘F’ men. Mal Edwards just made it 35-32. Then Adrian Trowsdale pulled level with a 41-34 win. The ‘F men then took over Dave Thomas 69-41 & Haydn Cross the star of the show 66-11.

HARLESCOTT ‘B’ (+55) 256 v WEM USC ‘C’ (+60) 218
Glyn Edwards started off well for Wem with an excellent win 67-27. Then the ‘B’ men took over Ian Ferriday 53-29, Mark Mason 67-23 & Dave Ferriday 54-39.

BEACONSFIELD ‘B’ (+45) 254 v BEACONSFIELD ‘C’ (+100) 293
This was a shock result after Rob Jones won well 67-34 & Chris Harrison 52-35 for the ‘B’ Lads. The ‘C’ men won the middle frames well Steve Farmer 61-43 & Jon Hedger 63-47.

UNISON ‘E’ (+85) 258 v MEOLE BRACE (+95) 322
Unison never took a frame in this match. Brian Pryce set it off 55-33 break 23. Keith Price the took a tight farme 41-39. The best performance came from Andy Wigginton 77-58. Martin Reader won the last 54-43.

HARLESCOTT ‘D’ (+90) 247 v WEM USC ‘A’ (+20) 277
The ‘D’ men lost at home after Alan Childs had put in a good potting performance in winning the 2nd frame 62-38. Wem took the other 3. Sam Breaks 83-32. Ian Tinsley 84-20 & Martyn Bebb 52-43.

WEM USC ‘B’ (+105) 292 v BAGLEY ‘C’ (+50) 258
This was a good win for Wem thanks to Simon Perry winning the first 71-41. Bagley took the next 3 but lost it by 34 points. Jim Davidson took the 2nd 50-40. Then Gary Prosser won well 74-41 & at the back Ross O/Colaghan just won 43-35.
