WATKINS GRABS THE GLORY

UNISON ‘A’ 1 v HARLESCOTT ‘A’ 4
This was Tony Watkins rolling back the years, like when he won the Shropshire Individual. Tony’s potting was outstanding, with an excellent 38 break in winning 105-20. After that the 2nd was another outstanding performance this time by Mike Bansley putting Unison back in the match with a 97-10 win with a very good 25 clearance, that was the end of Unison, Callum Wraight took the 3rd with a 32 clearance in winning 76-24 & Ade Rowe the last 61-26.

HARLESCOTT ‘B’ 0 v BEACONSFIELD ‘A’ 5
An excellent away win for the League Leaders, who had Simon McLeod with their best result 61-18. Then Dave Davies was the next best 82-51, The other two frames were close Steve Adams 61-53 & Jason Bright 56-49 against Dave Ferriday who had a 23 break.

MEOLE ‘F’ 4 v BAGLEY ‘C’ 1
Comfortable win for Meole as Dave Berry & Andy Sparkes both won well Dave Berry was the best performance 104-27 with breaks of 20 & 38. Andy Sparkes won 64-18 break 26, the other winner was Steve Bebb 62-52. For Bagley Ross O’Callinghan just took the last frame 49-45.

WEM USC ‘A’ 4 v UNISON ‘B’ 1
Nearly a full house for the Wem Lads but Steve Shingler won for Unison 58-50, the Wem winners were Martyn Bebb 63-34 & Ian Tinsley 47-29, Sam Breakes had a walk-over, Unison not having a last player.

BROCKHURST FULL HOUSE.

HARLESCOTT ‘C’ 1 v BEACONSFIELD ‘C’ 4
An excellent away win for the Beacon, who had Steve Farmer with the best result 68-22 break 23, then came Mike Ryder 54-11 & Jon Hedger 53-47, For the Harlescott Dan Manning won well 60-23.

Old SHREWSBURY ‘A’ 1 v HARLESCOTT ‘E’ 4
An excellent away win for Harlescott who now pull away from their rivals, Paul Meredith the best winner 59-28, then came two close wins Steve Weaver 55-48 & Jon Hughes 60-58. For the Shrews Rob Bebbington 50-38.

BAGLEY ‘A’ 1 v HARLESCOTT ‘D’ 4
The visiting team had a good away win to steer them clear of the bottom clubs, all 4 Frames were tight, with Russ Worrall the best winner 33-23, The other two were Steve Jones 49-44 & Alan Childs 63-58, For the Hosts Colin Vaughan 49-37.

WEM USC ‘B’ 1 v BEACONSFIELD ‘D’ 4.
Peter Seddon gave the hosts the perfect start 58-34, that was the end of Wem, the visitors took the next three with one a walk-over. Graham Archer took the 2nd 49-38 & Jim Green 53-34, Pete Archer had the walk-over.

PRESTON BROCKHURST ‘A’ 5 v CONDOVER ‘A’ 0
The Brock pull two points clear after this full house, Pip Higgins took the first frame for Brock, Potting realy well in winning 54-21, The 2nd was a good frame Arn Mulligan with a lovely 25 break only to rattle the black, to stop him getting a very big break, Arn won 72-57. Alan Trowsdale was the star player, who played superb, potted everythink for an 80-28 win, Adrian Trowsdale followed up with a 68-46 to make it a full house.
