BRIGHT MOTORS DIVISION ONE
Unison ‘F’ 3 v Harlescott ‘A’ 2
Two big shocks in this Division this was the first after, Mal Edwards defeated Callum Wright 56-26 & Dave Thomas not only beat Tim Jones 73-46 but made an excellent 37 break. For the visitors Tony Watkins just got home 49-41 playing Gaz Hughes & Ade Rowe 52-35 against Dave Peach.

Meole ‘F’ 2 v Beaconsfield ‘A’ 3
Jason Bright 92-13 over Andy Bowers & Steve Adams tight win 59-55 over Andy Sparkes, were important wins for the Champions as games were shared they took the aggregate by 13. For Meole Dave Berry was best 62-26 with a 22 clearance playing Dave Davies & Tony Downes with a very good win against Simon McCloed 61-34

Beaconsfield ‘B’ 4 v Unison ‘A’ 1
This was the other shock result, After three good wins from Chris Harrison 61-31 over Colin Beaman, Andy Baron 67-35 against Mark Blomfield & Phil Ryan beating yours truly 59-34. For Unison Mike Barnsley beat Rob Jones 63-50.

Bagley ‘C’ 1 v Meole ‘A’ 4
Bagley made the Meole lads fight for each point, Matt Ryder 58-41 playing Jim Davidson, Ross Corfield 54-44 against Mike Jones & Mike Beasley 54-48 over Gary Prosser, Ross O’Callagham put in a good performance in beating Tom Hancher 53-34.

A.B.F CARPETS DIVISION TWO
Old Shrewsbury ‘A’ 3 v Harlescott ‘D’ 2
Russ potted very to beat Craig Weaver to give Harlescott a good 63-23. In frame two after a slow start Tony Bennett made some lovely pots to win comfortable 71-15 over Steve Jones. The 3rd was a very close frame some good fortune edged Alan Childs over the line 52-45 playing Matt Whittker. Tony Preece was in potting form against Mel Griffiths who was making his league debut at the age of 71 & lost 71-31.

Meole ‘G’ 1 v Beaconsfield ‘C’ 4
The G’Slingers go down to the Leaders after Pete Price won the first well 70-25 against Dave Fisher. Then it went the visitors way, Martin Lewis 62-42 beating Steve Hayley, Steve Farmer 59-35 against Martin Reader & Mike Ryder 55-42 playing Andy Wiggington.

Unison ‘E’ 1 v Meole ‘E’ 4
Unison go down again this time at home, only Martin Cane could win 77-32 with a very good 33 break. For Meole Andrew Corfield was best 59-26 over Mike Hughes, then Pete Connor 59-29 beating Robson Webster & Geoff Balshaw who had a close frame against Alex Nuttall 65-60.

Beaconsfield ‘D’ 2 v Bagley ‘A’ 3 Plus one Bonus point.
The games were shared but with one outstanding performance from Alan Ball not only did he defeat Graham Archer 104-3 but made a bonus break of 41. The other winner was Colin Vaughan 74-47 playing Jim Wood. For the Beacon Jim Green 57-41 over Martin Young & Pete Archer 53-24 against Mike Keene.

Harlescott ‘C’ 4 v Condover ‘A’ 1
It was all square after the first two Rhys Williams for Condover 61-40 break 24 against Dan Manning. Then for Harlescott Jim Rigby 56-42 over Dean Stone, the ‘C’ men took the last two Andy Simpson just winning 49-45 playing Dougie Williams & Russ Price to beat Charlie Hughes 67-40.

Wem USC ‘B’ 3 v Harlescott ‘E’ 2
Wem had a great start taking the first two frames, Simon Perry 68-47 & Ian Bailey 78-27. For the Visitors Steve Weaver 77-54 & Bill Duckett 47-45 against Pete Maddon.
