BRIGHT MOTORS DIVISION ONE

LUCKY BEACONSFIELD ‘A’

Unison went to the league leaders and could have won 5-0, after Colin Beaman had played so well in beating Simon McCleod 60-43, Simon potted the last few balls to keep the aggregate down, the next 3 frames were black ball frames, with Beaconsfield winning the three frames, Dave Davies 69-58, Jason Bright 55-46 & Steve Adams 58-45 break 32, for Beaconsfield being lucky to win 4-1.

Unison ‘B’ do well against Meole ‘F’ only going down 2-3 after Steve Shingler won 56-52 & Neil Chislett 68-29, for Meole Andy Sparkes 64-37 & Dave Berry 78-39 taking the aggregate.

Unison ‘F’ are well beaten at home to Beaconsfield ‘B’ 1-4, Phil Ryan set this alight with a big 87-13 win, then it was Chris Harrison 45-28 & Rob Jones 62-37. Haydn Cross won well for the hosts 71-13.

Meole ‘A’ close the gap at the top by beating Old Shrewsbury 5-0, after big wins Tom Hancher 79-17, Matt Ryder 55-30, Ross Corfield 59-27 & Mike Beasley 71-34.

Harlescott ‘A’ stay 3rd after winning at Bagley ‘C’ 4-1, Sean Nolan 77-43, Ade Rowe 65-19 & Callum Wraight 88-22, for the hosts Ross O’Cullinghan 48-29.

The Bottom Club Bagley ‘A’ did well to get 2 points at Wem USC ‘A’ with wins from Alan Ball 42-38 & Mick Keene 64-34, for the hosts Ian Tinsley 62-25 & Gavin Tommy 94-65.

A.B.F. CARPETS DIVISION TWO

IAN FERRIDAY ON FIRE

The leaders Harlescott ‘B’ win 4-1 in this local Derby against Harlescott ‘F’ Ian Evans got the balls running with a big 73-11 win, then it was Dave Ferriday 78-21 & at the back was Ian Ferriday 89-22, for the ‘F’ men Billy Lanham did very well in beating Mark Mason 75-66.

Harlescott ‘D’ deserved a 4-1 win over 3rd placed Beaconsfield ‘C’ Russ Worrall started it off 58-26, then Steve Farmer pulled a frame back 69-31, back came the hosts Alan Childs 61-49 after Jon Hedger had a 26 break, on last Shane Powell 64-56.

Preston Brockhurst produced a solid performance for a fine 4-1 victory  over Meole ‘E’, Pip Higgins potted Brock 1-0 up 63-19, Adrian Trowsdale 52-33 break 22 & Arnie Mulligan 66-28 secured victory for Brock, Pete Connor did win at the back for Meole 69-35.
